Q: Do we need to meet face-to-face in order to do a Splainer?
A: No, we can easily work via FTP, and have done so with clients around the globe. We're happy to meet face-to-face with you if you're located within the greater Seattle area. We'd be glad to arrange a Skype chat or regular old phone chat with our out-of-(Washington) State clients.

Q: What's the turnaround time for a Splainers Presentation Video?
A: Turnaround times hinge on one crucial date: when the initial deposit or down payment is received. Down payment secures your spot in the production schedule. Please contact us for current turnaround times, as they vary depending on current production load. It takes us approximately two weeks to complete a Splainer once we receive the green-light on the script from you.

Q: What can I expect in the script-writing phase?
A: First we'll have a detailed discussion about your Splainers project. We send out a questionnaire that will ask your goals, vision and key communication points… and we use this questionnaire as the basis for building the themes and script. Our goal is to present you with an initial script within two weeks after reaching an agreement to do a Splainers Presentation Video. Remember, we want you to be satisfied with the final script, and you will need to sign off on the script before we begin production. Any changes to the script after signoff may result in additional fees.

Q: Can I request custom 3D modeling?
A: Certainly, we can model most anything you see in the "real" world here at our Splainers studio, but super-detailed 3D modeling (like re-creating a working product) is charged at an hourly rate to be discussed in our agreement. There are a variety of high-end 3D models available for purchase to use in your Splainer video as well, so if you want your Splainers character to travel to a realistic looking Paris and present your product, service or Big Idea, then... let us know and we'll work to procure Paris for you. Pretty cool, eh?

Q: How does payment work?
A: We require ½ up-front payment in order to get started on your Splainer. The final payment is due before delivery of the final high-resolution Splainers Presentation Video.

Q: What is the Splainers approach to creating these animated vids?
A: All Splainers Presentation Vids use theme, situation and setting to drive the humor and to more easily communicate complex (and often dry) ideas. In this way, we ‘splain ideas rather than merely explain them.

Q: What are the different formats available for final delivery for a Splainers Presentation Video?
A: We most often deliver the final product in the very popular mp4 format. But we can deliver a Splainer video in the format of your choice, from popular HD formats to QuickTime .mov files to Microsoft .avi files... please just be specific as to where you plan to run your Splainers marketing movie, so we can make adjustments early in the process.
